INTRODUCTION:

A. We have begun making preparations

   for building.

B. We have an idea what we want.

C. We have tried to do   

   right.....regardless what happens

   god has blessed us

D. We have to begin building within

   ourselves or else.. 1pet. 2:1--5

BODY

A. BUILD BY TEARING DOWN 2:1

1. Put aside:  

   malice(evil).....allow...what!!

2. Put aside: Guile(craftiness) 

   games of pride

3. Put aside: hypocrisy (play acting)

4. Put aside: envy (pain at the sight 

              of good) phil4:4

5. Put aside: slander

              (to speak evil against)

B. BUILD BY DESIRING GOD 2:2

1. Christianity is...... col 1:27

2. Christians: KNOW GOD

               Matt7:21--23; psalm139

3. Christians:GROW UP!!!                

   Heb 5:5-14;Phil2:12(tremble)

C. BUILD BY TASTING KINDNESS 2:3

1. God in your presence

   GOODNESS in your life psa 34:8

2. God enables us to see the GOOD in

   OTHERS

D. BUILD BY CHOOSING CHRIST 2:4

1. THE living stone, 

   the rock to build on--see b.r.

2. THE life here is ONLY CHRIST,

   not rulers--- 1corth2:2

E. BUILD BY BEING LIKE CHRIST 2:5

1. God's house you are......spiritual

2. God's house you are..... priesthood

3. God's house you are....

   spiritual sacrifices

4. God's house you are... 

   through JESUS CHRIST

   SEE ROMANS 12:1

CONCLUSION

A. WE HAD A BUILDING, BUT WERE NOT 

   BUILT UP--- NO FOUNDATION

B. WE HAVE A FOUNDATION TO BUILD  

   ON..THE ROCK OF AGES! 1 CORTH3:11
