From Gary... The contrast of reality and the truth of God

This moonlit picture is stunning!!! The black and white photography naturally lends itself to contrast and reveals the "form" of the world.  I imagine there are many out there who have never even seen a non-color photo- so enjoy!!!  Yet, even within such "starkness", there is subtlety and nuance. The reflection of the top-most branches of the tree on the water and the boundary of the liquid against the edge of the land.  Oh, that life were as easy to understand as this picture!!!  How many of us have been taught since our earliest days that there is no "right" nor "wrong", but rather everything is just "relative". Nonsense!!!!  This week, I went to the funeral of a dear friend- there was no doubt, she was no longer living. Life is good, but face it, THINGS HAPPEN!!! You lose your job, your kids get in trouble, you fight with your spouse, you get sick!!! Normal occurrences, but when divorce is immanent, or someone dies (especially a close family member), then you are forced to really look at reality.  Then you will see what the foundation of your life really is. Jesus and Paul concur...

Matthew, Chapter 7 (WEB)
24  “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.   25  The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.   26  Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.   27  The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

AND

2 Corinthians, Chapter 1 (WEB)
17 When I therefore was thus determined, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the “Yes, yes” and the “No, no?”  18 But as God is faithful, our word toward you was not “Yes and no.”  19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, by me, Silvanus, and Timothy, was not “Yes and no,” but in him is “Yes.”  20 For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.

Jesus came for you, to love you with a heavenly love, to clarify your life and give it meaning  -FOREVER!!! No half-truths, no lies, no broken promises. Eternal life. Just as clear and contrasting as this photo, but Oh, so much better!!!  The photo will fade (or, more likely, the computer will break), but eternal life is literally FOREVER!!! The only thing remaining to be said is: What will you do about it?
