Disneyland, the number one tourist attraction in Florida! I must confess, I never thought of it in terms set by this picture. But, the attraction is the mystique of fantasy and I guess that is a good thing;and the kids enjoy it too!!! I wonder, what is the attraction that causes one to go to church? Family, friends, entertainment, clicks, and feel-good preaching? Paul addresses the subject of what church should be like in his charge to his protege Timothy...
2 Timothy, Chapter 4 (WEB)
1 I command you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his Kingdom: 2 preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts; 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables.
Paul's command: preach the word!!! And not just any word- that which brings to light God's truth and challenges you to obey it and does so with fervor!!! Some people really don't want that and will force a change in teachers so that they can feel comfortable and not have to deal with God's message of righteous, repentance and judgement. And if you attend somewhere that is like this- leave (it is a people trap set by Satan).
P.S. Don't get the wrong idea about Florida, it is nice here (except for the summer), and the winters aren't too long either!!!
