Jeremiah 30-33

Jer 30:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,

Jer 30:2 Thus speaks Yahweh, the God of Israel, saying, Write you all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.

Jer 30:3 For, behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will turn again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, says Yahweh; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

Jer 30:4 These are the words that Yahweh spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

Jer 30:5 For thus says Yahweh: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

Jer 30:6 Ask now, and see whether a man does travail with child: why do I see every man with his hands on his waist, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

Jer 30:8 It shall come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds; and strangers shall no more make him their bondservant;

Jer 30:9 but they shall serve Yahweh their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.

Jer 30:10 Therefore don't you be afraid, O Jacob my servant, says Yahweh; neither be dismayed, Israel: for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.

Jer 30:11 For I am with you, says Yahweh, to save you: for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.

Jer 30:12 For thus says Yahweh, Your hurt is incurable, and your wound grievous.

Jer 30:13 There is none to plead your cause, that you may be bound up: you have no healing medicines.

Jer 30:14 All your lovers have forgotten you; they don't seek you: for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.

Jer 30:15 Why cry you for your hurt? your pain is incurable: for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased, I have done these things to you.

Jer 30:16 Therefore all those who devour you shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, everyone of them, shall go into captivity; and those who despoil you shall be a spoil, and all who prey on you will I give for a prey.

Jer 30:17 For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh; because they have called you an outcast, saying, It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.

Jer 30:18 Thus says Yahweh: Behold, I will turn again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have compassion on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built on its own hill, and the palace shall be inhabited after its own manner.

Jer 30:19 Out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

Jer 30:20 Their children also shall be as before, and their congregation shall be established before me; and I will punish all who oppress them.

Jer 30:21 Their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach to me: for who is he who has had boldness to approach to me? says Yahweh.

Jer 30:22 You shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Jer 30:23 Behold, the storm of Yahweh, even his wrath, is gone forth, a sweeping storm: it shall burst on the head of the wicked.

Jer 30:24 The fierce anger of Yahweh shall not return, until he has executed, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days you shall understand it.

Jer 31:1 At that time, says Yahweh, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

Jer 31:2 Thus says Yahweh, The people who were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

Jer 31:3 Yahweh appeared of old to me, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.

Jer 31:4 Again will I build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: again you shall be adorned with your tambourines, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry.

Jer 31:5 Again you shall plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall enjoy its fruit.

Jer 31:6 For there shall be a day, that the watchmen on the hills of Ephraim shall cry, Arise you, and let us go up to Zion to Yahweh our God.

Jer 31:7 For thus says Yahweh, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations: publish you, praise you, and say, Yahweh, save your people, the remnant of Israel.

Jer 31:8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who travails with child together: a great company shall they return here.

Jer 31:9 They shall come with weeping; and with petitions will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

Jer 31:10 Hear the word of Yahweh, you nations, and declare it in the islands afar off; and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd does his flock.

Jer 31:11 For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.

Jer 31:12 They shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow to the goodness of Yahweh, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

Jer 31:13 Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

Jer 31:14 I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says Yahweh.

Jer 31:15 Thus says Yahweh: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.

Jer 31:16 Thus says Yahweh: Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says Yahweh; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

Jer 31:17 There is hope for your latter end, says Yahweh; and your children shall come again to their own border.

Jer 31:18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus, You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a calf unaccustomed to the yoke: turn you me, and I shall be turned; for you are Yahweh my God.

Jer 31:19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I struck on my thigh: I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

Jer 31:20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says Yahweh.

Jer 31:21 Set up road signs, make guideposts; set your heart toward the highway, even the way by which you went: turn again, virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities.

Jer 31:22 How long will you go here and there, you backsliding daughter? for Yahweh has created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall encompass a man.

Jer 31:23 Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I shall bring again their captivity: Yahweh bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.

Jer 31:24 Judah and all its cities shall dwell therein together, the farmers, and those who go about with flocks.

Jer 31:25 For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished.

Jer 31:26 On this I awakened, and saw; and my sleep was sweet to me.

Jer 31:27 Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of animal.

Jer 31:28 It shall happen that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, says Yahweh.

Jer 31:29 In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge.

Jer 31:30 But everyone shall die for his own iniquity: every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jer 31:32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, says Yahweh.

Jer 31:33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yahweh: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

Jer 31:34 and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh; for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

Jer 31:35 Thus says Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar; Yahweh of Armies is his name:

Jer 31:36 If these ordinances depart from before me, says Yahweh, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.

Jer 31:37 Thus says Yahweh: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says Yahweh.

Jer 31:38 Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that the city shall be built to Yahweh from the tower of Hananel to the gate of the corner.

Jer 31:39 The measuring line shall go out further straight onward to the hill Gareb, and shall turn about to Goah.

Jer 31:40 The whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to Yahweh; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more forever.

Jer 32:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.

Jer 32:2 Now at that time the king of Babylon's army was besieging Jerusalem; and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah's house.

Jer 32:3 For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Why do you prophesy, and say, Thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

Jer 32:4 and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall see his eyes;

Jer 32:5 and he shall bring Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, says Yahweh: though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not prosper?

Jer 32:6 Jeremiah said, The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

Jer 32:7 Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle shall come to you, saying, Buy you my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.

Jer 32:8 So Hanamel my uncle's son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of Yahweh, and said to me, Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of Yahweh.

Jer 32:9 I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel my uncle's son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.

Jer 32:10 I subscribed the deed, and sealed it, and called witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.

Jer 32:11 So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, containing the terms and conditions, and that which was open;

Jer 32:12 and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses who subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.

Jer 32:13 I commanded Baruch before them, saying,

Jer 32:14 Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel; that they may continue many days.

Jer 32:15 For thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall yet again be bought in this land.

Jer 32:16 Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to Yahweh, saying,

Jer 32:17 Ah Lord Yahweh! behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for you,

Jer 32:18 who show loving kindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them; the great, the mighty God, Yahweh of Armies is his name;

Jer 32:19 great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

Jer 32:20 who performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, both in Israel and among other men; and made you a name, as in this day;

Jer 32:21 and brought forth your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;

Jer 32:22 and gave them this land, which you did swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;

Jer 32:23 and they came in, and possessed it, but they didn't obey your voice, neither walked in your law; they have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do: therefore you have caused all this evil to come on them.

Jer 32:24 Behold, the mounds, they are come to the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence; and what you have spoken has happened; and behold, you see it.

Jer 32:25 You have said to me, Lord Yahweh, Buy you the field for money, and call witnesses; whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

Jer 32:26 Then came the word of Yahweh to Jeremiah, saying,

Jer 32:27 Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

Jer 32:28 Therefore thus says Yahweh: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:

Jer 32:29 and the Chaldeans, who fight against this city, shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses, on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

Jer 32:30 For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only that which was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says Yahweh.

Jer 32:31 For this city has been to me a provocation of my anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even to this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

Jer 32:32 because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Jer 32:33 They have turned to me the back, and not the face: and though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

Jer 32:34 But they set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

Jer 32:35 They built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech; which I didn't command them, neither did it come into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

Jer 32:36 Now therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning this city, about which you say, It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence:

Jer 32:37 Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries, where I have driven them in my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

Jer 32:38 and they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

Jer 32:39 and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

Jer 32:40 and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.

Jer 32:41 Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

Jer 32:42 For thus says Yahweh: Like as I have brought all this great evil on this people, so will I bring on them all the good that I have promised them.

Jer 32:43 Fields shall be bought in this land, about which you say, It is desolate, without man or animal; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

Jer 32:44 Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe the deeds, and seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the hill country, and in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South: for I will cause their captivity to return, says Yahweh.

Jer 33:1 Moreover the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

Jer 33:2 Thus says Yahweh who does it, Yahweh who forms it to establish it; Yahweh is his name:

Jer 33:3 Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don't know.

Jer 33:4 For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to make a defense against the mounds and against the sword;

Jer 33:5 while men come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have killed in my anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city:

Jer 33:6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and truth.

Jer 33:7 I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

Jer 33:8 I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, by which they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, by which they have sinned against me, and by which they have transgressed against me.

Jer 33:9 This city shall be to me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them, and shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I procure to it.

Jer 33:10 Thus says Yahweh: Yet again there shall be heard in this place, about which you say, It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,

Jer 33:11 the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, Give thanks to Yahweh of Armies, for Yahweh is good, for his loving kindness endures forever; and of them who bring sacrifices of thanksgiving into the house of Yahweh. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return as at the first, says Yahweh.

Jer 33:12 Thus says Yahweh of Armies: Yet again shall there be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

Jer 33:13 In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks again pass under the hands of him who numbers them, says Yahweh.

Jer 33:14 Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.

Jer 33:15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

Jer 33:16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name by which she shall be called: Yahweh our righteousness.

Jer 33:17 For thus says Yahweh: David shall never want a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;

Jer 33:18 neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

Jer 33:19 The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying,

Jer 33:20 Thus says Yahweh: If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season;

Jer 33:21 then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

Jer 33:22 As the army of the sky can't be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites who minister to me.

Jer 33:23 The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying,

Jer 33:24 Don't you consider what this people has spoken, saying, The two families which Yahweh did choose, he has cast them off? thus do they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

Jer 33:25 Thus says Yahweh: If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

Jer 33:26 then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them.

Thus speaks Yahweh, the God of Israel, saying, Write you all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.

Thus speaketh Jehovah the God of Israel, saying, Write thee in a book all the words that I

have spoken unto thee.

`Thus spake Jehovah, God of Israel, saying, Write for thee all the words that I have

spoken unto thee on a book.

Jeremiah 30 3

For, behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will turn again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, says Yahweh; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

For behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, when I will turn the captivity of my people

Israel and Judah, saith Jehovah; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to

their fathers, and they shall possess it.

For, lo, days are coming -- an affirmation of Jehovah -- and I have turned back [to]

the captivity of My people Israel and Judah, said Jehovah, and I have caused them

to turn back unto the land that I gave to their fathers, and they do possess it.`

Jeremiah 30 4

These are the words that Yahweh spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

And these are the words that Jehovah hath spoken concerning Israel and concerning

Judah;

And these [are] the words that Jehovah hath spoken concerning Israel and

concerning Judah:

Jeremiah 30 5

For thus says Yahweh: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

for thus saith Jehovah: We have heard a voice of trembling, there is fear, and no peace.

Surely thus said Jehovah: A voice of trembling we have heard, Fear -- and there is

no peace.

Jeremiah 30 6

Ask you now, and see whether a man does travail with child: why do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

Ask ye now, and see, whether a male doth travail with child? Wherefore do I see every

man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail; and all faces are turned into

paleness?

Ask, I pray you, and see, is a male bringing forth? Wherefore have I seen every

man, His hands on his loins, as a travailing woman, And all faces have been turned

to paleness?

Jeremiah 30 7

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob`s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more reduce him to servitude.

but they shall serve Yahweh their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.

And thou, be not afraid, My servant Jacob, An affirmation of Jehovah, Nor be

affrighted, O Israel, For, lo, I am saving thee from afar, And thy seed from the land

of their captivity, And Jacob hath turned back and rested, And is quiet, and there

is none troubling.

Jeremiah 30 11

For I am with you, says Yahweh, to save you: for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.

For I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to save thee: for I will make a full end of all the nations

whither I have scattered thee; yet of thee will I not make a full end, but I will correct

thee with judgment, and will not hold thee altogether guiltless.

For with thee [am] I, An affirmation of Jehovah -- to save thee, For I make an end of

Jeremiah 30 12

For thus says Yahweh, Your hurt is incurable, and your wound grievous.

For thus saith Jehovah: Thy bruise is incurable, thy wound is grievous.

For thus said Jehovah: Incurable is thy breach, grievous thy stroke,

Jeremiah 30 13

There is none to plead your cause, that you may be bound up: you have no healing medicines.

There is none to plead thy cause, to bind up [thy wound]; thou hast no healing medicines.

There is none judging thy cause to bind up, Healing medicines there are none for

thee.

Jeremiah 30 14

All your lovers have forgotten you; they don`t seek you: for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.

All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not. For I have smitten thee with the

stroke of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of thine

iniquity: thy sins are manifold.

all loving thee have forgotten thee, Thee they do not seek, For with the stroke of

Jeremiah 30 15

Why cry you for your hurt? your pain is incurable: for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased, I have done these things to you.

Why criest thou because of thy bruise? thy sorrow is incurable; for the greatness of thine

iniquity, [because] thy sins are manifold, I have done these things unto thee.

What! -- thou criest concerning thy breach! Incurable [is] thy pain, Because of the

Jeremiah 30 16

Therefore all those who devour you shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, everyone of them, shall go into captivity; and those who despoil you shall be a spoil, and all who prey on you will I give for a prey.

Therefore all that devour thee shall be devoured, and all thine adversaries, every one of

them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be for a spoil; and all they

that prey upon thee will I give to be a prey.

Therefore all consuming thee are consumed, And all thine adversaries -- all of

them -- Into captivity do go, And thy spoilers have been for a spoil, And all thy

plunderers I give up to plunder.

Jeremiah 30 17

For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh; because they have called you an outcast, [saying], It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.

For I will apply a bandage unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith Jehovah; for

they have called thee an outcast: This is Zion that no man seeketh after.

For I increase health to thee, And from thy strokes I do heal thee, An affirmation

of Jehovah, For `Outcast` they have called to thee, `Zion it [is], there is none

seeking for her.`

Jeremiah 30 18

Thus says Yahweh: Behold, I will turn again the captivity of Jacob`s tents, and have compassion on his dwelling-places; and the city shall be built on its own hill, and the palace shall be inhabited after its own manner.

Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will turn the captivity of Jacob`s tents, and have mercy on

his habitations; and the city shall be built upon her own heap; and the palace shall be

inhabited after the manner thereof.

Thus said Jehovah: Lo, I turn back [to] the captivity of the tents of Jacob, And his

dwelling places I pity, And the city hath been built on its heap, And the palace

according to its ordinance remaineth.

Jeremiah 30 19

Out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry: and I will

multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

I will multiply them, and they shall not be diminished; and I will honour them, and they

shall not be small.

And gone forth from them hath thanksgiving, And the voice of playful ones, And I

Their children also shall be as before, and their congregation shall be established before me; and I will punish all who oppress them.

And their sons shall be as aforetime; and their assembly shall be established before me;

and I will punish all that oppress them.

And his sons have been as aforetime, And his company before Me is established,

And I have seen after all his oppressors.

Jeremiah 30 21

Their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach to me: for who is he who has had boldness to approach to me? says Yahweh.

that engageth his heart to draw near unto me? saith Jehovah.

And his honourable one hath been of himself, And his ruler from his midst goeth

Jehovah.

Jeremiah 30 22

You shall be my people, and I will be your God.

And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

And ye have been to Me for a people, And I am to you for God.

Behold, the tempest of Yahweh, [even his] wrath, is gone forth, a sweeping tempest: it shall

burst on the head of the wicked.

Behold, a tempest of Jehovah, fury is gone forth, a sweeping storm: it shall whirl down

upon the head of the wicked.

Lo, a whirlwind of Jehovah -- Fury hath gone forth -- a cutting whirlwind, On the

head of the wicked it stayeth.

Jeremiah 30 24

The fierce anger of Yahweh shall not return, until he has executed, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days you shall understand it.

The fierce anger of Jehovah shall not return, until he have executed, and until he have

performed the purposes of his heart. At the end of the days ye shall consider it.

The fierceness of the anger of Jehovah Doth not turn back till His doing, Yea, till

His establishing the devices of His heart, In the latter end of the days we consider

it!

Jeremiah 31 1

At that time, says Yahweh, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my

people.

At that time, an affirmation of Jehovah, I am for God to all families of Israel, And

they -- they are to Me for a people.

Jeremiah 31 2

Thus says Yahweh, The people who were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

wilderness, [even] Israel, when I go to give him rest.

Thus said Jehovah: Found grace in the wilderness Hath a people remaining from

the sword Going to cause it to rest -- Israel.

Jeremiah 31 3

Yahweh appeared of old to me, [saying], Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn you.

Jehovah hath appeared from afar unto me, [saying,] Yea, I have loved thee with an

everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee.

From afar Jehovah hath appeared to me, With love age-during I have loved thee,

Therefore I have drawn thee [with] kindness.

Jeremiah 31 4

Again will I build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: again shall you be adorned with your tambourines, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry.

I will build thee again, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel! Thou shalt again be

adorned with thy tambours, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.

Again do I build thee, And thou hast been built, O virgin of Israel, Again thou

puttest on thy tabrets, And hast gone out in the chorus of the playful.

Jeremiah 31 5

Again shall you plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall enjoy [the fruit of it].

and shall eat the fruit.

and made common.

Jeremiah 31 6

For there shall be a day, that the watchmen on the hills of Ephraim shall cry, Arise you, and let us go up to Zion to Yahweh our God.

For there shall be a day, when the watchmen upon mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise, and let

us go up to Zion, unto Jehovah our God.

For there is a day, Cried have watchmen on mount Ephraim, `Rise, and we go up to

Zion, unto Jehovah our God;

Jeremiah 31 7

For thus says Yahweh, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations:

publish you, praise you, and say, Yahweh, save your people, the remnant of Israel.

For thus saith Jehovah: Sing aloud [with] gladness for Jacob, and shout at the head of the

nations; publish ye, praise ye, and say, Jehovah, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.

For thus said Jehovah: Sing, O ye to Jacob, [with] joy, And cry aloud at the head of

the nations, Sound ye, praise ye, and say, Save, O Jehovah, thy people, the remnant

of Israel.

Jeremiah 31 8

Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, [and] with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who travails with child together: a great company shall they return here.

They shall come with weeping; and with petitions will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them; I will cause them

to walk by water-brooks, in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble; for I will be a

father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

With weeping they come in, And with supplications I bring them, I cause them to

Hear the word of Yahweh, you nations, and declare it in the isles afar off; and say, He who

scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd does his flock.

scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd his flock.

Jeremiah 31 11

For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.

For Jehovah hath ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of one stronger than

he.

For Jehovah hath ransomed Jacob, And redeemed him from a hand stronger than

he.

Jeremiah 31 12

They shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow to the goodness of Yahweh, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

And they shall come and sing aloud upon the height of Zion, and shall flow together to

the goodness of Jehovah, for corn, and for new wine, and for oil, and for the young of the

flock and of the herd; and their soul shall be as a watered garden, and they shall not

languish any more at all.

And they have come in, And have sung in the high place of Zion, And flowed unto

the goodness of Jehovah, For wheat, and for new wine, and for oil, And for the

young of the flock and herd, And their soul hath been as a watered garden, And

they add not to grieve any more.

Jeremiah 31 13

Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will

turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

their sorrow.

Then rejoice doth a virgin in a chorus, Both young men and old men -- together,

I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my

goodness, says Yahweh.

Jeremiah 31 15

Thus says Yahweh: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.

Thus saith Jehovah: A voice hath been heard in Ramah, the wail of very bitter weeping, --

Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted for her children, because

they are not.

Thus said Jehovah, A voice in Ramah is heard, wailing, weeping most bitter,

Rachel is weeping for her sons, She hath refused to be comforted for her sons,

because they are not.

Jeremiah 31 16

Thus says Yahweh: Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says Yahweh; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

Thus saith Jehovah: Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears; for there

is a reward for thy work, saith Jehovah; and they shall come again from the land of the

enemy.

Thus said Jehovah: Withhold thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears,

Jeremiah 31 17

There is hope for your latter end, says Yahweh; and [your] children shall come again to their own border.

And there is hope for thy latter end, saith Jehovah, and thy children shall come again to

their own border.

And there is hope for thy latter end, An affirmation of Jehovah, And the sons have

turned back [to] their border.

Jeremiah 31 18

I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself [thus], You have chastised me, and I was

chastised, as a calf unaccustomed [to the yoke]: turn you me, and I shall be turned; for you are Yahweh my God.

I have indeed heard Ephraim bemoaning himself [thus]: Thou hast chastised me, and I was

chastised as a bullock not trained: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art

Jehovah my God.

I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself, `Thou hast chastised me, And I

am chastised, as a heifer not taught, Turn me back, and I turn back, For thou [art]

Jehovah my God.

Jeremiah 31 19

Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I struck on my thigh: I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after I knew myself, I smote upon [my]

thigh. I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, for I bear the reproach of my youth.

For after my turning back I repented, And after my being instructed I struck on

the thigh, I have been ashamed, I have also blushed, For I have borne the reproach

Jeremiah 31 20

Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says Yahweh.

Is Ephraim a dear son unto me? is he a child of delights? For whilst I have been speaking

against him, I do constantly remember him still. Therefore my bowels are troubled for

him: I will certainly have mercy upon him, saith Jehovah.

A precious son is Ephraim to Me? A child of delights? For since My speaking

against him, I do thoroughly remember him still, Therefore have My bowels been

moved for him, I do greatly love him, An affirmation of Jehovah.

Jeremiah 31 21

Set up road signs, make guideposts; set your heart toward the highway, even the way by which you went: turn again, virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities.

Jeremiah 31 22

How long will you go here and there, you backsliding daughter? for Yahweh has created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall encompass a man.

How long wilt thou wander about, thou backsliding daughter? For Jehovah hath created a

new thing on the earth, a woman shall encompass a man.

Till when dost thou withdraw thyself, O backsliding daughter? For Jehovah hath

prepared a new thing in the land, Woman doth compass man.

Jeremiah 31 23

Thus says Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities of it, when I shall bring again their captivity: Yahweh bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: They shall again use this speech, in the land

of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall turn their captivity: Jehovah bless thee, O

habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness!

Judah, And in its cities, In My turning back [to] their captivity, Jehovah doth

bless thee, habitation of righteousness, Mountain of holiness.

Jeremiah 31 24

Judah and all the cities of it shall dwell therein together, the farmers, and those who go about with flocks.

And therein shall dwell Judah, and all the cities thereof together, the husbandmen, and

they that go about with flocks.

And dwelt in Judah have husbandmen, and in all its cities together, And they have

journeyed in order.

Jeremiah 31 25

For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished.

For I have satiated the weary soul, and every languishing soul have I replenished.

On this I awakened, and saw; and my sleep was sweet to me.

Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of animal.

It shall happen that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to

overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, says

Yahweh.

And it shall come to pass, as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down,

and to overthrow, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them to build, and to

plant, saith Jehovah.

And it hath been, as I watched over them to pluck up, And to break down, and to

Jeremiah 31 29

In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children`s teeth are set on edge.

Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Jehovah, And I have made with the house of

Israel And with the house of Judah a new covenant,

Jeremiah 31 32

not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, says Yahweh.

although I was a husband unto them, saith Jehovah.

Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers, In the day of My laying hold

covenant, And I ruled over them -- an affirmation of Jehovah.

Jeremiah 31 33

But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yahweh: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, after those days, saith

Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and will write it in their heart; and I

will be their God, and they shall be my people.

For this [is] the covenant that I make, With the house of Israel, after those days, An

affirmation of Jehovah, I have given My law in their inward part, And on their

heart I do write it, And I have been to them for God, And they are to me for a

people.

Jeremiah 31 34

and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh; for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

Thus says Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that the waves of it roar; Yahweh of hosts is his name:

Thus saith Jehovah, who giveth the sun for light by day, the ordinances of the moon and of

the stars for light by night, who stirreth up the sea so that the waves thereof roar, --

Thus said Jehovah, Who is giving the sun for a light by day, The statutes of moon

and stars for a light by night, Quieting the sea when its billows roar, Jehovah of

Jeremiah 31 36

If these ordinances depart from before me, says Yahweh, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.

If those ordinances depart from before me, saith Jehovah, the seed of Israel also shall

cease from being a nation before me for ever.

If these statutes depart from before Me, An affirmation of Jehovah, Even the seed of

Israel doth cease From being a nation before Me all the days.

Jeremiah 31 37

Thus says Yahweh: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says Yahweh.

Thus saith Jehovah: If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the

earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off the whole seed of Israel, for all that they

have done, saith Jehovah.

Thus said Jehovah: If the heavens above be measured, And the foundations of earth

below searched, Even I kick against all the seed of Israel, For all that they have

done, An affirmation of Jehovah.

Jeremiah 31 38

Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that the city shall be built to Yahweh from the tower of Hananel to the gate of the corner.

Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that the city shall be built to Jehovah, from the

tower of Hananeel unto the corner-gate.

Lo, days [are coming], an affirmation of Jehovah, And the city hath been built to

Jehovah, From the tower of Hananeel to the gate of the corner.

Jeremiah 31 39

The measuring line shall go out further straight onward to the hill Gareb, and shall turn about to Goah.

And the measuring line shall yet go forth before it unto the hill Gareb, and shall turn

toward Goath.

And gone out again hath the measuring line Over-against it, unto the height of

Gareb, And it hath compassed to Goah.

Jeremiah 31 40

The whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to Yahweh; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more forever.

And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the

torrent Kidron, unto the corner of the horse-gate toward the east, shall be holy unto

Jehovah: it shall not be plucked up, nor overthrown any more for ever.

And all the valley of the carcases and of the ashes, And all the fields unto the brook

not plucked up, Nor is it thrown down any more to the age!

Jeremiah 32 1

The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of

Judah: that year was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, in the tenth year of

Zedekiah king of Judah -- it [is] the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar,

Jeremiah 32 2

Now at that time the king of Babylon`s army was besieging Jerusalem; and Jeremiah the prophet is in the king of Judah`s house.

And the king of Babylon`s army was then besieging Jerusalem; and the prophet Jeremiah

was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah`s house.

And then the forces of the king of Babylon are laying siege against Jerusalem, and

Jeremiah the prophet hath been shut up in the court of the prison that [is] in the

house of the king of Judah,

Jeremiah 32 3

For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Why do you prophesy, and say, Thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Why dost thou prophesy and say,

Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he

shall take it;

Where Zedekiah king of Judah hath shut him up, saying, `Wherefore art thou

prophesying, saying, Thus said Jehovah, Lo, I am giving this city into the hand of

the king of Babylon, and he hath captured it;

Jeremiah 32 4

and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall see his eyes;

and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans; for he shall

certainly be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth

to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;

And Zedekiah king of Judah doth not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but

is certainly given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and his mouth hath spoken

with his mouth, and his eyes see his eyes,

Jeremiah 32 5

and he shall bring Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, says Yahweh:

though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not prosper?

and he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith

Jehovah: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper?

And [to] Babylon he leadeth Zedekiah, and there he is till My inspecting him, -- an

affirmation of Jehovah -- because ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye do not prosper.`

Jeremiah 32 6

Jeremiah said, The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

And Jeremiah said, The word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

And Jeremiah saith, `A word of Jehovah hath been unto me saying,

Jeremiah 32 7

Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle shall come to you, saying, Buy you my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is your to buy it.

Behold, Hanameel, the son of Shallum thine uncle, shall come unto thee, saying, Buy for

thyself my field which is in Anathoth; for thine is the right of redemption, to buy [it].

Lo, Hanameel son of Shallum, thine uncle, is coming unto thee, saying, Buy for thee

my field that [is] in Anathoth, for thine [is] the right of redemption -- to buy.

Jeremiah 32 8

So Hanamel my uncle`s son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of

Yahweh, and said to me, Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of

Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is your, and the redemption is your; buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of Yahweh.

And Hanameel, mine uncle`s son, came to me in the court of the guard according to the

word of Jehovah, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is

in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is

thine: buy [it] for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of Jehovah.

And Hanameel, my uncle`s son, cometh in unto me, according to the word of

Jehovah, unto the court of the prison, and saith unto me, `Buy, I pray thee, my field

that [is] in Anathoth, that [is] in the land of Benjamin, for thine [is] the right of

possession, and thine of redemption -- buy for thee.` And I know that it [is] the

word of Jehovah,

Jeremiah 32 9

I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel my uncle`s son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.

And I bought of Hanameel, mine uncle`s son, the field which is in Anathoth, and weighed

him the money, seventeen shekels of silver.

And I buy the field, that [is] in Anathoth, from Hanameel, my uncle`s son, and I

weigh to him the money -- seventeen shekels of silver.

Jeremiah 32 10

I subscribed the deed, and sealed it, and called witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.

And I subscribed the writing, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed the money

in the balances.

And I write in a book, and seal, and cause witnesses to testify, and weigh the

silver in balances;

Jeremiah 32 11

So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, [according to] the law and

custom, and that which was open:

And I took the writing of the purchase, that which was sealed [according to] the law and

the statutes, and that which was open;

And I take the purchase-book, the sealed one, according to law and custom, and

the open one.

Jeremiah 32 12

and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle`s [son], and in the presence of the witnesses who subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.

and I gave the writing of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Nerijah, the son of

Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle`s [son], and in the presence of the

witnesses that had subscribed the writing of purchase, before all the Jews that were

sitting in the court of the guard.

And I give the purchase-book unto Baruch son of Neriah, son of Maaseiah, before

the eyes of Hanameel, my uncle`s son, and before the eyes of the witnesses, those

writing in the purchase-book, before the eyes of all the Jews who are sitting in

the court of the prison.

Jeremiah 32 13

I charged Baruch before them, saying,

And I charged Baruch in their presence, saying,

And I charge Baruch before their eyes, saying,

Jeremiah 32 14

Thus says Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel: Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel; that they may continue many days.

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Take these writings, this writing of the

purchase, both that which is sealed and this writing which is open; and put them in an

earthen vessel, that they may remain many days.

`Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Take these books, this purchase-book,

both the sealed one and the open one, and thou hast put them in an earthen vessel,

that they may remain many days;

Jeremiah 32 15

For thus says Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall yet again be bought in this land.

For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall

again be purchased in this land.

For thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Again are houses and fields and

vineyards bought in this land.`

Jeremiah 32 16

Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to

Yahweh, saying,

And after I had given the writing of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Nerijah, I

prayed unto Jehovah saying,

And I pray unto Jehovah -- after my giving the purchase-book unto Baruch son of

Neriah -- saying,

Jeremiah 32 17

Ah Lord Yahweh! behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for you,

Alas, Lord Jehovah! Behold, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power

and stretched-out arm; there is nothing too hard for thee:

`Ah, Lord Jehovah, lo, Thou hast made the heavens and the earth by Thy great

power, and by Thy stretched-out arm; there is nothing too wonderful for Thee:

Jeremiah 32 18

who show lovingkindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the

bosom of their children after them; the great, the mighty God, Yahweh of Hosts is his name;

who shewest mercy unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the

bosom of their children after them, thou, the great, the mighty ·God, -- Jehovah of hosts

is his name;

Doing kindness to thousands, and recompensing iniquity of fathers into the

bosom of their sons after them; God, the great, the mighty, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His

Jeremiah 32 19

great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

great in counsel and mighty in work, whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the

children of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of

his doings:

Great in counsel, and mighty in act, in that Thine eyes are open on all the ways of

the sons of Adam, to give to each according to his ways, and according to the fruit

of his doings:

Jeremiah 32 20

who did set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, both in Israel and among [other] men; and mad you a name, as at this day;

who hast displayed signs and wonders unto this day, in the land of Egypt and in Israel

and among [other] men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day.

In that thou hast done signs and wonders in the land of Egypt unto this day, and in

Israel, and among men, and Thou dost make for Thee a name as [at] this day.

Jeremiah 32 21

and did bring forth your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;

And thou broughtest forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt by signs, and by

wonders, and by a powerful hand, and by a stretched-out arm, and by great terror;

`And Thou bringest forth Thy people Israel from the land of Egypt, with signs and

with wonders, and by a strong hand, and by a stretched-out arm, and by great fear,

Jeremiah 32 22

and gave them this land, which you did swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;

and didst give them this land, which thou hadst sworn unto their fathers to give them, a

land flowing with milk and honey.

And thou givest to them this land that thou didst swear to their fathers to give to

them, a land flowing with milk and honey,

Jeremiah 32 23

and they came in, and possessed it, but they didn`t obey your voice, neither walked in your law; they have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do: therefore you have caused all this evil to come on them.

And they came in and possessed it: but they hearkened not unto thy voice, neither

walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do; so

that thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them.

And they come in, and possess it, and they have not hearkened to Thy voice, and in

Thy law have not walked, all that which Thou didst lay a charge on them to do

they have not done, and Thou dost proclaim [to] them all this evil.

Jeremiah 32 24

Behold, the mounds, they are come to the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the

pestilence; and what you have spoken is happen; and, behold, you see it.

Behold the mounds, they are come unto the city for taking it; and the city is given over

into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, by the sword, and the famine, and

the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and behold, thou seest [it].

`Lo, the mounts -- they have come in to the city to capture it, and the city hath

been given into the hand of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it, because of

the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence; and that which Thou hast spoken

hath come to pass, and lo, Thou art seeing;

Jeremiah 32 25

You have said to me, Lord Yahweh, Buy you the field for money, and call witnesses; whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

And thou, Lord Jehovah, thou hast said unto me, Buy for thyself the field for money, and

take witnesses; -- and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

Yet Thou hast said unto me, O Lord Jehovah, Buy for thee the field with money, and

cause witnesses to testify -- and the city hath been given into the hand of the

Chaldeans!`

Jeremiah 32 26

Then came the word of Yahweh to Jeremiah, saying,

And the word of Jehovah came unto Jeremiah, saying,

And the word of Jehovah is unto Jeremiah, saying:

Jeremiah 32 27

Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

Behold, I am Jehovah, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

`Lo, I [am] Jehovah, God of all flesh: For Me is anything too wonderful?

Jeremiah 32 28

Therefore thus says Yahweh: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:

Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and

into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, and he shall take it.

`Therefore, thus said Jehovah, Lo, I am giving this city into the hand of the

Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he hath

captured it;

Jeremiah 32 29

and the Chaldeans, who fight against this city, shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses, on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink-

offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come in and set fire to this city, and

shall burn it, and the houses upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and

poured out drink-offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.

And come in have the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city, and they have

set this city on fire, and have burned it, and the houses on whose roofs they made

perfume to Baal, and poured out libations to other gods, so as to provoke Me to

anger.

Jeremiah 32 30

For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only that which was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says Yahweh.

For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have been doing only evil in my sight

from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work

of their hands, saith Jehovah.

For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been only doing evil in Mine eyes,

from their youth; for the sons of Israel are only provoking Me with the work of

their hands -- an affirmation of Jehovah.

Jeremiah 32 31

For this city has been to me a provocation of my anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even to this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

For this city hath been to me [a provocation] of mine anger and of my fury from the day

that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

`For a cause of Mine anger, and a cause of My fury, hath this city been to Me, even

from the day that they built it, and unto this day -- to turn it aside from before My

face,

Jeremiah 32 32

because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 32 33

They have turned to me the back, and not the face: and though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face; and though I taught them,

rising early and teaching, they hearkened not to receive instruction.

And they turn unto Me the neck, and not the face, and teaching them, rising early

and teaching, and they are not hearkening to accept instruction.

Jeremiah 32 34

But they set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

And they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile

to defile it;

They built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through [the fire] to Molech; which I didn`t command them, neither did it come into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this

I did not command them, nor did it come up on my heart to do this abomination,

so as to cause Judah to sin.

Jeremiah 32 36

Now therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof you say, It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the

pestilence:

And now therefore Jehovah, the God of Israel, saith thus concerning this city, whereof ye

say, It hath been given over into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the

famine, and by the pestilence:

`And now, therefore, thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, concerning this city, of

which ye are saying, It hath been given into the hand of the king of Babylon by

sword, and by famine, and by pestilence,

Jeremiah 32 37

Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries, where I have driven them in my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries whither I have driven them, in mine

anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place,

and I will cause them to dwell safely.

Lo, I am gathering them out of all the lands whither I have driven them in Mine

anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath, and I have brought them back unto this

place, and have caused them to dwell confidently;

Jeremiah 32 38

and they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

and they have been to Me for a people, and I am to them for God;

Jeremiah 32 39

and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me all [their] days, for

the good of them, and of their children after them.

and I have given to them one heart, and one way, to fear Me all the days, for good

to them, and to their sons after them:

Jeremiah 32 40

and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following

them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not draw back from them,

to do them good; and I will put my fear in their heart, that they may not turn aside from

me.

and I have made for them a covenant age-during, in that I turn not back from after

them for My doing them good, and My fear I put in their heart, so as not to turn

aside from me;

Jeremiah 32 41

Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

And I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land

Jeremiah 32 42

For thus says Yahweh: Like as I have brought all this great evil on this people, so will I bring on them all the good that I have promised them.

For thus saith Jehovah: Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I

bring upon them all the good that I have spoken concerning them.

`For thus said Jehovah: As I brought in unto this people all this great evil, so I am

bringing in on them all the good that I am speaking concerning them;

Jeremiah 32 43

Fields shall be bought in this land, whereof you say, It is desolate, without man or animal; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or

beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

and bought hath been the field in this land of which ye are saying, A desolation it

[is], without man and beast, it hath been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

Jeremiah 32 44

Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe the deeds, and seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the hill-country, and in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South: for I will cause their captivity to return, says Yahweh.

[Men] shall buy fields for money, and subscribe the writings, and seal them, and take

witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the environs of Jerusalem, and in the cities of

Judah, and in the cities of the hill-country, and in the cities of the lowland, and in the

cities of the south: for I will turn their captivity, saith Jehovah.

Fields with money they buy, so as to write in a book, and to seal, and to cause

witnesses to testify, in the land of Benjamin, and in suburbs of Jerusalem, and in

cities of Judah, and in cities of the hill-country, and in cities of the low country,

and in cities of the south, for I turn back their captivity -- an affirmation of

Jehovah.`

Jeremiah 33 1

Moreover the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still shut up in

the court of the prison, saying,

And there is a word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah a second time -- and he [is] yet

detained in the court of the prison -- saying:

Jeremiah 33 2

Thus says Yahweh who does it, Yahweh who forms it to establish it; Yahweh is his name:

Thus saith Jehovah the doer of it, Jehovah that formeth it to establish it, Jehovah is his

name:

Thus said Jehovah its maker, Jehovah its former, at establishing it, Jehovah [is]

His name:

Jeremiah 33 3

Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don`t know.

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and I will shew thee great and hidden things, which

thou knowest not.

Call unto Me, and I do answer thee, yea, I declare to thee great and fenced things --

thou hast not known them.

Jeremiah 33 4

For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down [to make a defense] against the mounds and against the sword;

For thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel concerning the houses of this city, and

concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down because of the

mounds and because of the sword:

For thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and

concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, that are broken down for the mounts,

and for the tool;

Jeremiah 33 5

while [men] come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men,

whom I have killed in my anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city:

They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but to fill them with the dead bodies of the men

whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid

my face from this city.

they are coming in to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the carcases

of men, whom I have smitten in Mine anger, and in My fury, and [for] whom I have

hidden My face from this city, because of all their evil:

Jeremiah 33 6

Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and truth.

Behold, I will apply a healing dressing to it and cure, and I will heal them, and will

reveal unto them an abundance of peace and truth.

Lo, I am increasing to it health and cure, And have healed them, and revealed to

them The abundance of peace and truth.

Jeremiah 33 7

I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

And I will turn the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel, and will build them, as

at the beginning.

And I have turned back the captivity of Judah, And the captivity of Israel, And I

have built them as at the first,

Jeremiah 33 8

I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will

pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned against me, and whereby they have

transgressed against me.

And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me,

And cleansed them from all their iniquity, That they have sinned against Me, And

Jeremiah 33 9

[This city] shall be to me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them, and shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I procure to it.

And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth,

which shall hear of all the good that I do unto them; and they shall fear and tremble for

all the good and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

And it hath been to Me for a name of joy, For praise, and for beauty, to all nations

of the earth, Who hear of all the good that I am doing them, And they have feared,

And they have trembled for all the good, And for all the peace, that I am doing to

it.

Jeremiah 33 10

Thus says Yahweh: Yet again there shall be heard in this place, whereof you say, It is waste,

without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,

Thus saith Jehovah: In this place of which ye say, It is waste, without man and without

beast! in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without

man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,

Thus said Jehovah: Again heard in this place of which ye are saying, Waste it [is],

without man and without beast, In cities of Judah, and in streets of Jerusalem,

That are desolated, without man, And without inhabitant, and without beast,

Jeremiah 33 11

the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, Give thanks to Yahweh of Hosts, for Yahweh is good, for his lovingkindness endures forever; [and of them] who bring [sacrifices of] thanksgiving into the house of Yahweh. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return as at the first, says Yahweh.

there shall again be heard the voice of mirth and the voice of joy, the voice of the

Hebrews 6

Heb 6:2 of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Heb 6:3 This will we do, if God permits.

Heb 6:4 For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
