Nobody wants to die; and no one in his right mind would want to wind up in Hell (Gehenna) for all eternity. Or would they? They would if they loved the things God hates and refuse to listen or turn from their sinful ways.
This life only lasts a few decades or maybe even a hundred years at the very most. So, why trade this short time (with sinful indulgences) for an eternity of punishment?
Wouldn't it be better to listen to God and do what HE wants you to do rather than do your "own thing" and suffer for it eternally?
If you love sin more than God, you will have an eternity to regret it. From what I know of Hell (Gehenna) it is an awful place! Face it, holding onto sin is just not worth it!
Consider the following...
James, Chapter 1 (WEB)
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed. 15 Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin. The sin, when it is full grown, produces death.
Matthew, chapter 10 (WEB)
24 “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord. 25 It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household! 26 Therefore don’t be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known. 27 What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops. 28 Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
Sin isn't God's doing, it is the sinner's choice. Follow Jesus and not your own desires. Fear God and live. Just like Romans says in the picture, you have a choice: Sin and death or Jesus and life. Choose wisely!!!
