Only 10% by Gary Rose

I imagine that this beautiful little prayer would most likely be said for grace at the evening meal. But, why should we restrict our thanksgiving to a common meal? God gives us blessings throughout of lives, not just for meals.

Those who follow God should know this and look for opportunities to "give thanks" because God never stops giving and giving and giving.

Consider the following passage and use it as a springboard to reflect upon our own spiritual lives...

Luke , Chapter 17 (World English Bible)

12 As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.

13 They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14  When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.

15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
16 He fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
18  Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this stranger?”
19 Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you.”

I saw a picture on the net recently that said: "The things we take for granted, others are praying for".
Health should be near the top of anyone's prayer list, because life is way too short and we need to appreciate the quality of life that God has given us!!!
There were ten lepers who were healed, but only one returned to glorify God for healing him. To me, this simply means that most of us will not "give thanks" as we should.
Today, I plan to be part of the 10% who will give thanks; how about you????
